Description
Chicken and shrimp dishes blend two delicious proteins for meals that are hearty, juicy, and full of flavor. From creamy pastas to bold stir-fries, this combo offers endless culinary possibilities.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless chicken breasts
- 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (for creamy dishes)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for pasta recipes)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (for stir-fries)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season chicken with Cajun seasoning or desired spices.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook chicken until golden and cooked through (8–10 minutes depending on thickness), then remove and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and cook briefly.
- Add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Return chicken to the pan and stir to combine with shrimp.
- Add sauce ingredients (e.g., cream and Parmesan for pasta, soy and sesame oil for stir-fry) and simmer briefly.
- Serve over pasta, rice, or vegetables as desired.
Notes
Start with the chicken since it takes longer to cook than shrimp. Always ensure shrimp are added near the end to avoid overcooking. Season proteins separately for balanced flavor.
